Social Ministry is filling
school bags with school supplies for Family
Shelter Services. The following supplies are needed:
backpacks, pens, pencils, lined paper, pocket folders,
Spiral notebooks, crayons, markers, and glue sticks. |

Rally Day, the first
day of Sunday school and all other fall activities, is
Sunday, Sept 12. |

|
Octoberfest will be
celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 9, beginning at 5 p.m. Come
to Grace's "Bavarian Inn" for authentic German
fare and lots of fun. Tickets will be available
beginning Sep. 1 at $5 per person.

Kid's Club
has started, with fun and games each third Saturday,
6:30-9:00 p.m. A once-a-month time for games
and stories for children 3 years - 5th grade.

Thank you for your support
and dedication that made this year's Independence
Day parade a success. Three carloads of food and
over $430 in cash was collected for the food pantry
|
|
|
The lighting throughout the
church (except the sanctuary) has been retrofitted for energy
efficiency. This comes with a special loan from the
Synod and a grant from ComEd.

|
PADS weekly Friday
night shelter provides meals and sleeping accommodations
for the homeless in our community from October through
April. While volunteers from
many churches help each week, Grace is responsible for
preparing and serving a meal, and handling the night
crew on the fifth Fridays.
